Abstract:
In this talk, I will provide a briefly introduction to Riemannian geometry. I'll start from Riemannian metric and Levi Civita connection, building on this, we then introduce geodesics as curves that satisfy geodesic equation. Finally we'll explore curvature in this viewpoint . If time permits, we'll briefly touch Jacobi fields and show how the curvature influences the behavior of geodesics.
