Author Submission Guidelines
Applied Mathematics E-Notes is a peer-reviewed online
journal. It publishes short, mathematically rigorous, and original research
papers that present new ideas and include clear, meaningful examples.
1.
How to
Submit Your Paper
l
Send your paper as a PDF
file to the Editor-in-Chief at suisuncheng@gmail.com.
l
Your submission should
include a short summary, or abstract, of the main ideas or results.
l
The journal will first
conduct a preliminary check of your paper. If it passes this check, it may be sent
to the editorial office and reviewers for further review.
l
The time it takes to review
a paper depends on many factors, but authors should expect the process to take
approximately three to six months.
l
If the paper is recommended
for publication, you must submit the final version in LaTeX format.
2.
Basic
Submission Requirements
l
Language and format: Write the paper in English
and prepare it in LaTeX.
l
Clear writing: Use clear and simple
English, concise sentences, and standard mathematical terminology. You may use AI-assisted language-editing tools or
professional writing software to improve the English.
l
Useful examples: Include clear, fully worked
examples that show how your results can be applied. These examples can help
readers understand the results more easily than abstract theorems alone.
l
Information on the first page:
Include the authors’ full names, affiliations, contact details, an abstract of
no more than 200 words, and AMS subject classifications.
l End matter and references: Place acknowledgments or announcements at the end of the paper. Follow
the reference style shown in the sample files, simpleformat.tex.
List the references in alphabetical order according to the authors’ surnames.
3.
Galley Proofs and Copyright
l
Upon acceptance of your manuscript, we will request that you
kindly forward all related materials to us, including the TEX file, any figure
files, and other relevant documents. After our editorial department processes
it, we will send you the galley proof. Please note that only small corrections
may be made to the galley proofs at this stage.
l When authors accept the
galley proofs, the copyright of the accepted paper is transferred to AMEN.
Important date : The journal did not charge
publication fees from 2001 through the end of 2024. A new fee policy took
effect on January 1, 2025.
4.
Article Processing Charge (APC)
l
Standard fee: The Article Processing
Charge is USD 50 per published page.
l
Purpose of the fee: The fee supports the
editorial office, the journal website, and the preparation of articles for
online publication. The fee is used to cover operating costs and is not
collected for profit.
l
Additional processing costs: The
standard fee does not include expedited publication services or unusually heavy
processing work, such as extensive revisions, retyping, or language correction.
Additional charges may be required in these cases.
l
Invoice and payment: After the galley proofs are
finalized, the journal will issue an official invoice. The invoice must be paid
within three weeks.
l
Discounts and exemptions: Reviewers from 2023
onward are eligible for a 25% discount for each completed review assignment.
Editors are fully exempt from the APC.
5.
Publication Order and Expedited Publication
l
Accepted papers are
organized by volume, but they are published online on a first-come,
first-served basis once they are ready for publication.
l
Authors who require
expedited publication may request the fast-publication service. This service is
charged at a rate of USD 50 per page.
