Author Submission Guidelines
n Applied Mathematics E-Notes is a fully refereed electronic journal that
welcomes short, rigorous, and original research
articles presenting novel and potentially impactful ideas with concrete,
significant examples
n (Submission)
Please send your article in PDF format to the Editor-in-Chief (suisuncheng@gmail.com). Your submission should include a short summary (abstract) of
the main ideas or results. After preliminary inspection, your submitted paper
may be sent to our Editorial office for further reviewing process. The time it
takes to review a paper depends on many factors, but three to six months are to
be expected. If your paper is recommended, you'll need to send us a final version in the LaTeX format for the
final layout.
n There are several basic
requirements before submission.
1.
Your paper should be written
in English and follow the LaTeX format.
2.
We expect clear
and simple English, using concise sentences and standard terminology. To ensure high-quality
English, you may consider using AI-assisted language editing tools or other
professional writing software.
3.
Include concrete
and worked examples to illustrate how your results can be applied, as these
examples are often more useful than abstract theorems.
4.
The first page of
your paper should include the authors' names, affiliations, contact details, a
brief abstract (no more than 200 words), and AMS subject classifications. Any
acknowledgments or announcements should be placed at the end of the paper.
References must adhere to the format provided in the sample LaTeX file (simpleformat.tex) or PDF file (simpleformat.pdf), and be arranged in alphabetical order according to the authors’ surnames.
n Since its inception in 2001, our journal has not charged
publication fees. However, starting from January 1, 2025, we will implement a
new fee policy.
1.
An Article
Processing Fee of USD 50 per page
will be charged for papers to be published.
This fee helps cover the operational costs of our journal, as it
serves as our sole source of revenue. The fee is not for profit but is
necessary to maintain our editorial office, website, and prepare articles in
suitable formats for online publication. Please note that these fees do not
include expedited publication services or excessive processing work (e.g.,
extensive revisions, retyping, or language corrections), in which cases
additional fees may be necessary.
2.
Once the final version is accepted, we will send the author a
set of galley proofs for review. After the galley proofs are finalized, an
official invoice will be issued. The invoice must be paid within three weeks.
3.
To express our appreciation, reviewers from 2023 will be
eligible for a 25% discount for each completed review assignment. All editors
are fully exempt from the Article Processing Charge (APC). At present, no
additional APC discounts are offered based on country or regional affiliation.
n Galley proofs may only be modified for minor corrections.
By accepting the galley proofs, the authors automatically transfer the accepted
paper's copyright to AMEN.
n Although accepted papers are categorized by volume, they are made
available online on a first-come, first-served basis once they are ready for
publication. For manuscripts requiring expedited publication, we offer a fast
publication service at a rate of USD 50 per page.
