Abstract:
In this talk, I will give a brief introduction to classical algebraic K-theory, covering K_0, K_1, and higher K-theory for rings, as well as K-theory of certain well-known categories such as abelian categories and Waldhausen categories. I will discuss their definitions and motivations, and provide some illustrative examples.
