Abstract:
This presentation provides a comprehensive introduction to Decentralized Finance (DeFi), an innovative ecosystem built on blockchain technology that disrupts traditional finance by offering financial services without intermediaries. It covers the foundations of blockchain and DeFi, core components like stablecoins, lending platforms, decentralized exchanges (DEXs), and asset management protocols. The presentation explores the different stablecoin models, lending protocols like Compound and Aave, DEX mechanisms like Automated Market Makers (AMMs) used by Uniswap, and strategies for yield farming and liquidity provision. It also discusses risks in DeFi, such as smart contract vulnerabilities and market manipulation. Attendees will gain insights into this rapidly evolving financial landscape and the design principles that shape it.
