Abstract:
In this talk, we will discuss Floer homology, which is defined for a symplectic manifold with a time-dependent Hamiltonian. Floer homology is the homology of the Floer chain complex which is, as a vector space, a Z/2Z-vector space freely generated by the period solutions of the given Hamiltonian system. To define the boundary operator of the Floer complex, I will also need an action functional and the Floer equation. Finally I will compare Morse complexes and Floer complexes.
