Abstract:
In living cells, biochemical reactions form complex networks, and the dynamics are regulated by enzymatic activities/amounts. To understand these systems, sensitivity analysis is often conducted; however, conventional sensitivity analysis is limited by the need for detailed reaction kinetics and parameters, which are often not available for living systems. Here we developed a new method, structural sensitivity analysis, that can determine qualitative sensitivity solely from network structures. In this talk, I will first review the structural sensitivity analysis and then discuss some possible extensions.
