Abstract:
Following Łojasiewicz's uniqueness theorem and Thom's gradient conjecture, Arnold proposed a stronger version about the existence of limit tangents of gradient flow lines for analytic functions. These questions are elementary, and they can be asked for any differentiable functions. I will discuss these problems for arrival time functions of mean curvature flows, which are solutions to a degenerate PDE. This is based on joint work with Jingze Zhu.
