Abstract:
Synchronization phenomenon is a universal feature and can be observed in diverse subjects. For instance, the oscillation of pendulums, the flash of fireflies, circadian rhythm, and neural networks. In recent decades, the Kuramoto model has been proposed to demonstrate synchronization and applied to various disciplines including electric generators, power systems, biological oscillators, and networks. Recently, many investigators have studied the synchronization of the multi-group Kuramoto model. In this talk, I will use an ignite talk to introduce several phenomena and models related to synchronization. Then I will introduce the two-group and three-group Kuramoto models and show the main results. If time permits, I will also provide the numerical simulations.
