Abstract:

In this talk, I will give a brief introduction to the Terwilliger algebras of Q-polynomial distance-regular graphs. In the case of the Hamming graph, I will display how to study its Terwilliger algebra by applying the Clebsch-Gordan rule for U(sl_2). If we still have time, I will present my newest work with my Ph.D. student Chia-Yi Wen on the even subalgebra of U(sl_2) and the Terwilliger algebra of the halved cube.
