Abstract:

In biology, wave propagation is an important feature of pattern formation. I am going to introduce traveling waves for a reaction-diffusion equation with three stable steady states. Applying a variational approach, we study the existence of traveling waves. In addition, the motion of two weakly interacting waves is discussed in the talk. This is a joint work with Prof. Chiun-Chuan Chen and Prof. Shin-Ichiro Ei.
