Abstract:
Synchronization phenomena are found in a variety of natural systems. These include circadian rhythms, electrical generators, Josephson junction arrays, intestinal muscles, menstrual cycles, and fireflies. Yet, the underlying mechanism of synchronization has remained a mystery. Among a number of mathematical models, the one proposed by Kuramoto have received considerable attention. In this talk, we shall introduce some recent development of the mathematical analysis on Kuramoto model.
