Abstract The stability of traveling waves indicate that the phenomena represented by the waves is observable or not. The standard approaches about the stability are the spectral analysis of the linearized operators around the waves. In this talk, we will consider the stability and instability of traveling fronts or pulses about three-species Lotka-Volterra competition-diffusion equations and a modified version of Keller-Segel equations about chemotaxis.
