Abstract: The holomorphic analytic torsion oncomplex manifolds was introduced by Ray and Singer as the complex counterpartof the analytic torsion on Riemannian manifolds and has found many applications. In particular, Bismut and Vasserot studied the asymptotic behavior of the holomorphic analytic torsion associated with high powers of a positive line bundle. In this talk we will discuss the analytic torsion on compact CR manifolds with transversal S^1 action. In particular, we will discuss the asymptotic behavior of the analytic torsion on strongly pseudoconvex CR manifolds with transversal S^1 action. This is joint work with Chin-Yu Hsiao.
