DESCRIPTION

This course will cover computational methods that are essential for applications in the physical and biological sciences, engineering, and finance. Students will obtain practical experience by writing programs and making use of existing software packages to solve real problems. Topics include numerical linear algebra, data analysis, approximation theory, optimization, and methods for differential equations.
